The architect and developer
chose
Hualapai Chocolate
and
Arizona Moss in a
special blend to achieve an
Anasazi Indian pattern. This
application used
Arizona
Moss
with mostly rounded
surface edges showing in
combination with
Hualapai
Chocolate
with mostly seam
face showing.
River Run, a shopping mall in
Tucson, Arizona, showing a unique
use of special cut, fixed height
ashlar and coping from
Dunbar
Stone Company's
Roeder quarry.
The flagstone in the river and in the
grass is also from the Roeder
quarry.
Hualapai Chocolate Rubble, two
to four inches thick, laid up in a
random rectangular pattern with
bed face showing and a minor
percentage of split face showing.
This stone occurs naturally with
many parallel seams, making it
easy for the stone mason to square
up on the job. It may also be
purchased squared up from our
plant. This stone gets very good
coverage at sixty to seventy square
feet per ton.
